Fundraiser
A Lowe’s Coke and Hot Dog Booth fundraiser has been
scheduled for September 2 and 3, 2006.
Talent Show
Heather Agan is Chairperson =
for
the Talent Show and the date of Thursday, June 1, at 6:30 pm in the evening=
was
decided upon, to enable parents to attend.=
Heather will sending information home soon and plans to hold try-outs
the first two weeks of May. All students are encouraged to
participate. A mailbox for Ta=
lent
Show applications will be set up in the Office. A dress rehearsal will also be held
during the day on June 1. Any=
one
interested in volunteering to help with this event, please contact Heather =
Agan at hagan@mccsc.edu.

Graduation
Tentative date for 6th grade graduation is
Tuesday, June 6, 2006.
Spring Carnival
Toni Ladow received word that
Kroger is able to donate cakes and sweets for the Carnival, as well as a $1=
0.00
gift card for the Raffle.
Charla
Lancaster reported that Bucceto=
217;s
will not be able to donate food items, but has offered to donate gift
cards.
Courtney Arthur reported that since
Theme Baskets were discussed for the Raffle. Heather Rhodes will contact teache=
rs to
see if they are interested in having their classes each prepare a theme bas=
ket
for auction. The money collec=
ted on
the Raffle will go to the PTO, possibly earmarked for a playground equipment
fund. Heather will discuss th=
is
with the teachers as well. &nbs=
p;
Courtney Arthur has some prizes donated by Osco already =
and
will see if able to obtain more.
Any additional prizes will be purchased from Oriental Trading
Company.
Dana Green has reserved the popcorn machine.

donated and Dana Green will see about getting hot dog buns donated.

for Carnival as well as donations for a Teacher Appreciation Luncheon (poss=

Susan Bretsch to check on if it’s
possible for Market Day to provide their free Teacher’s Luncheon some=
time
in May.
Carnival ticket booths were discussed and it was felt th=
at
more than two booths were needed, two at the front doors as well as at least
one near the cafeteria, since all games and food items are bought with tick=
ets,
rather than cash.
Market Day
The April Market Day Sale date is Tuesday, April 18, with
pick-up time again from 5:30 – 6:30 pm.
Treasurer’s
Report
Melissa Fulton presented the Treasurer’s Report. The $51.25 deposit from February=
8217;s
Skate Night was not reflected on the report. There is approximately $650.00 ava=
ilable
in checking and $1000.00 in savings to use for the Carnival and for the
purchase of more Kroger Gift Certificates.=

Certificates
Vicki Streiff volunteered to
contact Kroger to order more Gift Certificates and pick them up when ready =
and
bring to the school office. M=
rs.
Osborne has said that she will continue to sell them from the office. It was discussed that for those who
cannot come into the school a request form could be sent in, along with pay=
ment
(check) and a self-addressed stamped envelope, as the certificates could no=
t be
sent home with students. It w=
as
also suggested that the Certificates be available at PTO meetings for
purchase. Jennifer Syrek will include a “Kroger Gift Certificate R=
equest
Form” on the back of the next PTO Newsletter, which will be sent home=
the
week after Spring Break.

Dinner ~ April 6, 2006
Theresa Malone reported that she will be asking for Prim=

families (K-3) to bring a side dish and for Intermediate families (4, 5 &am=

6) to provide a dessert for the Spaghetti Dinner on April 6. More information will be sent home
soon.
Kindergarten
Registration
Theresa Malone reported that Kindergarten Registration
begins April 3 and that an Open House for Kindergarten families will be hel=
d in
early May.
Next PTO Meeting<= o:p>
The next PTO meeting will be held during the Family Fun
Night Spaghetti Dinner on Thursday, April 6, 2006. PTO Officers will report on the su=
ccess
of this year’s fundraisers, as well as discuss the nomination and
election process for 2006-2007 Officers.
